Are You Kidding Me?!

How depressing... we woke up this morning in a "Spring Wonderland"! Where are the tulips & lilacs? The all day adventures at the zoo? The many hours spent on the swings, slides & bikes? The walks to feed the horses? The sweaty times in the jogging stroller? The sun dresses and bermuda shorts? The cannon balls & sunburns at the pool? The dripping ice cream cones? They just can't come fast enough for these native desert rats!

Her New Ride!

Grandma & Papa Stevens gave Kate a giftcard to Target for Christmas for a new tricycle. There was always too much snow or too cold to get one and actually ride it. Since the weather is warming up(a little), we went & purchased her "new ride" last night. Lucky for us it was on sale... we bought a nice pink basket to give it "Kate's" touch. Now she can take her babies, dress-up shoes & purses for a ride as well. This girl is in heaven, THANK YOU grandma & papa... we love you!

Proof!

A lot of people comment on how Chandler is always so happy. They ask at church or play group if he ever cries. Well, Mr. Chandler does cry...
...but most of the time he looks like this. We are very blessed parents!

30...Here I Come!

Today is my 30th Birthday and boy did I have a GREAT day! Steve woke me up early with breakfast in bed and to give me my presents. I got a brand new camera(one that I have had my eye on for some time now), a case for it and the Bee Movie, which I love! When I opened the camera to test it out, I noticed that the camera already had some pictures on it. They were pictures of the itinerary for 30th Birthday adventure. Steve had planned out the entire day for me & even took off work at 12:30 to make it all possible...

He made scrambled eggs, cinnamon french toast & bacon with a nice cold glass of milk!

I love this place... devine soup & sandwiches!

This masseuse did a number on me, but I was in heaven and all lubed up.

I found a white skirt at Dillards & had 45 minutes to spare so I threw in a pedicure for myself too.

This Brazilian restaurant is amazing, they give you lots of food and great entertainment.
Kate feeding rice to Chandler which never made it to his mouth.
We topped off the night with cheesecake, drizzled with Raspberry sauce(this picture is sick, I've had a long, but fulfilling day)
Thank you Steve for such a wonderful and memorable day. I love you and your thoughtfulness. Thank you family & friends for your phone calls, texts, presents and birthday wishes. What an exciting day!
Now that the kids are all tucked in bed, Steve & I are going to watch the Bee Movie since I have 3 hours left of my birthday. Woo Who!

Princess Wishes Come True!

Yesterday Lacey, Kate & I went to Princesses on Ice at the Arena in downtown SLC. Kate wasn't the only one that had a great time. Although, she was the only one making commentary every 2.8 seconds. Between all her ooooh's & ahhhhh's, kissing noises (when the Princes came out), screaming, laughing, waving, clapping & my favorite, the oh no's... she kept us entertained too! Kate loved it so much, she couldn't take her eyes off the skating rink long enough to take a picture with Aunt Lacey. I would say we all got our money's worth out of this magical event.

Aunt Lacey is here!

Aunt Lacey is in town & Kate has been glued to her side since she got here yesterday. This afternoon we took the kids to the indoor swimming pool at the Lehi Rec Center. We all had so much fun with the slides, waterfalls, water swings & tunnels, lazy river & lap pool. For sure will be taking advantage of this pool all year round.

"Don't Eat Pete!"

For our Sunday evening activity, we first tried to take a walk...too cold & too windy. We made it to the end of the complex & turned around. Then we tried to play Dance Dance Revolution...too difficult with small children. Finally, I pulled out the old stand by from my childhood..."Don't Eat Pete!" Steve had never played the game before. Can you believe it? Kate absolutely loved it and couldn't wait until it was her turn again. She would yell, "don't Pete!" She also did the double grab of the M&M's when it was her turn. What a sneaky little girl! It's always fun to watch & hear her laugh really hard. Her eyes get squinty, her cheeks start turning red & she tilts her head back with her mouth wide open. She's a funny little girl with such a big personality! There definitely will be more nights with Pete.
p.s. click on the post title, don't eat pete to get your own game board!

Potty Trained, 2 Teeth & a Mission Call!

We have some exciting news...Kate is officially potty trained(thanks to my mom who helped me through it when she was here).
Our little inch worm has two bottom teeth poking in(sorry not the best picture, but they are there).
My little sister Lacey, received her mission call today to Washington D.C. North- Spanish speaking. She reports to the MTC a few weeks after she graduates from ASU! Although we are going to miss her like crazy, we are so excited for her and her decision to go. (The kids and I might have to do a few drive by's the MTC this summer)!
We are counting down the days for her arrival to Lehi next week. We have lots to do.
