The Binky Bandit

Since we've moved, Kate cannot keep her hands off Chandler's binky! I either find a stash of them under her pillow in her room. Or when it's very quiet and she's not skipping around the house ...you can find her in her closet, with the door shut, sucking away. Do you think blue is her color?

Our Dear Sweet Prophet

My sister text me with the sad news of the passing of President Gordon B. Hinckley. For a moment my heart ached, but then became all tingly, thinking of the sweet reunion with his beloved Marjorie.
There are several things I will miss about him. A few things that quickly came to mind was his great counsel (the B's, Proclamation to the Family, Temples), his witty sense of humor, his distinct voice, his confidence and his sincere love for everyone.

You gotta get a BUMBO!

This is Chandler's new little lounge chair... the BUMBO! He loves to chill in it and watch everyone and everything. It's good when feeding him rice cereal, folding clothes, cooking dinner or watching a Barbie movie with Kate. Doesn't he look so darn cute in the thing! In no time he'll be sitting up on his own. It's for babies 3-14 months. It's been a great purchase from our local Walmart.

Our new family member!

Thank you Aunt MJ & Brodie for the highchair for Christmas. This baby has eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner with us since we've returned from AZ. Sometimes Kate insists that I put food on the baby's tray first. She's a character!
p.s. Kate gets her serious bed head from her Aunt Sissy.

5 Days of Fun!

Steve's parents came to Utah over MLK weekend to spruce up their condo. They are renting it out all year round to skiers, conference goers, vacationers or to those who just want to relax. We had a good time with them while they were here. Our time was full of dining, scrabble, root beer floats, orange whip jell-o, a Curtis family fireside, movies, laughing, IKEA and more dining out! While they were here, we had our biggest snow storm. That was not fun.
Thank you for such a great weekend... come back soon.

Let the Tubing Begin!

Today we had fun taking the kids tubing at Soldier Hallow in Midway. It's about an 35 min. drive from our house. Kate wasn't old enough to go down the actual hill, but they had a designated 3 years and younger spot fenced off where the parents could pull their kids around. As you can tell from the first picture, our little "snow leopard" wasn't too sure about it. As the pulling continued she didn't want us to stop! We can't wait until they are both old enough so we can race down the big hill all together.

"For the first time, I feel WICKED!"

For Christmas, my mom and two aunts surprised most of the Stevens girls with an airplane ticket to LA and a ticket to the musical, Wicked. (We missed two cousins that are pregnant and one that was sick.) On Saturday, we flew out on the 7am plane to LA and took a shuttle to Hollywood. We strolled down the street of stars, roamed around the Kodak Theatre and enjoyed the laughter in some fun and crazy shops. We then had brunch at a delicious little restaurant called, Off Vine(thanks Grams for picking up the bill.) Afterwards, we hit the 2pm matinee. It was FABULOUS... a must see! We stood around the Pantages Theatre discussing, analyzing, singing and laughing while waiting for our shuttle to pick us back up. We all couldn't stop talking about it on the way to the airport, at the airport and on the flight back home. Thank you girls for such a memorable trip and thank you mom and dad for the great gift!

Bringing in the New Year!

My sisters, the kids and I went to Thatcher to bring in 2008! It was a cold weekend...I thought I was back in Utah. We spent the four days playing games, eating, putting two puzzles together, eating, laughing, playing guitar hero and eating some more. When the clock stroke 12 the ONLY party animals up were my Aunt Trina, Kate, Chandler and I! The other 11 party poopers faded on us. However, we still had a great time... Happy New Year to all!
