A Wonderful Experience.

On Friday afternoon, my friend Natalie, the kids and I went to President Hinckley's viewing. The entire process took us three hours. We stood in line outside for 45 minutes. When we got inside the foyer, we zig zagged around for another 30 minutes until we went inside the Conference Center and sat for an hour and half. With plenty of snacks, coloring books and toys, the kids did great! They took each section one by one to go up stairs to see Pres. Hinckley. When we were up stairs, Kate was being very reverent. She was folding her arms and not saying a peep. As we were approaching the casket, you could feel such a sweet spirit. There were beautiful flower arrangements and pictures all around. Kate wanted me to carry her when we got close. As we were slowly walking past, Kate put her index finger up to her lips and said, "Shhhh, Papa is sleeping." It was such a sweet & tender moment for me. Although my kids will have no recollection of that day, I am glad that we had the opportunity to enjoy such a wonderful and peaceful experience together.
