It's that Time of the Year!

We have been slurping on White Bean Chicken Chile Soup all weekend. Why? Because it's been in the 30's ALL weekend. We even had snow on the rooftops & cars this morning. This is going to be another LONG winter.

We tried to take pictures of the beautiful Fall leaves in American Fork Canyon. However, the snow put a damper on things. Note to self... take pictures a week earlier next year!

Fall + Snow = Crankiness

Utah is one of the most beautiful places I think. I could almost smell what the air smells like this time of year in your pictures. I'm so homesick for Utah now. Enjoy it for me.

crankiness?! i think it sounds delicious, but i don't have to do it for the next 6 months or so. cute soup bowls, too. they seem like a must-have for up there.

Oh, dear Sommer, it is supposed to be back in the 70s by this weekend. Just a fluke of early autumn storm. We're gonna be OK.

Hey, wanna do this with me this Sat? http://5kfornie.blogspot.com/

You don't seem cranky! But I gotta admit, I was a little less than excited to wake up to snow. We were going to the canyon that morning for pictures - not the autumn pictures we planned on.

Oh, I am not looking forward to another long winter either, but you know, at least we are blessed with moisture. It looks so beautiful there. My gosh, you live in a gorgeous area.

Oooo look at those snowflakes, coming down before Halloween! I am so sorry that you are already too cold for comfort!

Sommer, as I am sitting here in our 90+ degree weather WISHING it would start to cool off, I am thinking about you in your 30 degree weather and I am now grateful to still be warm. Those trees are just beautiful! That is one thing I don't like about AZ...there aren't 4 seasons. It would be nice to have 3 seasons though (all 4 minus the winter). That soup looks delish...email me the recipe!
