Christmas Vacation 2008

We had a fabulous three weeks vacation in Arizona over the holiday: spent time with family & friends, made new memories, ate at our favorite places, lived out of suitcases & brought in 2009!

We always love cheering on our Sun Devils... this is one of our many activities, an ASU basketball game. We even made it on TV!

Christmas & Christmas Eve 2008

Caroline & Paul hosted a wonderful Christmas Eve in their new beautiful home. We had ham with all the fixings, plus some! For dessert, Oreo peppermint pie with chocolate sauce drizzled on top.

Afterwards, the kids "acted" out the Nativity scene, we all opened presents from Nana & Papa, wished each other a Merry Christmas & rushed the kids home to bed.

Christmas Morning... We woke Kate up at 7am to see what Santa brought her and then to open stocking & presents. We let Chan sleep in, but he got woken up by all the excitement in the house. My mom made the traditional biscuits & gravy for breakfast and then we played with all of our "toys". Some then took naps or watched new movies, but we all waited impatiently for Lacey to call home from her mission in DC. What a fun, beautiful and relaxing day. I think we all made out like bandits from Christmas Eve & Christmas this year. Thank you!

Christmas Candies

I sewed a baker's dozen of these Christmas bags out of the scraps of material I had left over from my annual Christmas project. Inside are M & M's to go along with the attached Christmas poem. We had a great time passing them out to our friends for Family Home Evening... Happy Holidays!

Work Par-tay!

We wined, dined, danced, laughed, competed in games, & sampled every dessert at Steve's annual black tie work Christmas party, held at the Grand America Hotel. I went six out of ten rounds in the rock, paper, scissors game this year. Next year will win the big one, Anna, next year!

Chan's Chin

Chan sliced his chin open on a rivet from our leather chair. Our good friend Owen(the same guy who glued Kate's stab wound shut) came over to patch him up. Chan was a brave little guy... only cried when the alcohol swab was being applied. Thanks Owen, we owe you another Sunday dinner!
