Diners, Drive-Ins', Dives

Steve & I obsess with the Food Network show, Dinners, Drive Ins', Dives! Our mouths water, we oooo & aawww & we always become instantly hungry after each episode. We are fortunate to have three of the joints in Utah, the host, Guy Fieri has visited. Saturday, we ventured to SLC to partake of Moochie's... home of Philly Cheesestakes & Meatball subs! We ate them so fast that I didn't get a picture of them. Which means... they didn't let us down.
Moochies is airing on DDD tomorrow, October 13th... we can't wait to watch it!

Our Messy Little Pumpkin!

A few reasons why I don't let Chan feed himself...
1. He wears half of it on his body.
2. It stains his clothes when I forget to take them off.
3. Food is flung on the walls, table & floor.
4. Kate thinks she should be doing the same thing.
...But it's so much fun!

Chandler is a sensitive little boy... he didn't like Kate & I laughing at him!

The McQueens!

Steve & I attended his mission reunion at President & Sister McQueen's home in Bountiful last night. I must say it was a lot of fun! Our first steps in the door, Sister McQueen greeted Steve with a hug and said, Oh, Elder Curtis! Not too many showed up, which gave us more one on one time with them. Every time I looked to my left, Steve was disappearing with President to see his new bikes, hobbies or contraptions. Steve served as President McQueen AP for four months towards the end of his mission, so they became great buddies & had a lot of fun... from stories, maybe a little too fun! Steve has always spoke fondly of these two people & after a few hours of conversing, I understand why! What generous, loving and heart warming people they are. Thank you McQueen's for being such wonderful mission parents & for your hospitality!

Surprise!

The kids & I surprised our family last week & drove the eleven hours (with pit stops) to Arizona! No, we were not missing the heat, but we wanted to attend Tyrel's Officer graduation with the Maricopa County Sheriff's Department & of course see all of our FAMILY! And boy did we pull off the surprise!
We managed to mix in play time with cousins, a birthday party for Kate, slumber parties, visits with friends, never ending games of Farkle, laughter, outings to the store with Aunt Shanda to get "tweets", some good Mexican food & lots of family fun!

Silly cousins... six months apart.

Games & fun with Brodie & grandma.

One last hug until next time!

Chub-a-lub

My nephew Gunner, turns four months next week and weighs almost seventeen pounds. This is the only time when a double chin & chubby rolls are cute, cuddly & squeezable!

You gotta love those rolls!

Picnic & Peter!

We had off and on raindrops all weekend. BUT, it didn't stop us from going to the Stake Family picnic and the Peter Breinholt concert at the Waterfall Amphitheater at Thanksgiving Point!

"Ladies Who Sweat'!

Today I ran a MARATHON... a marathon relay at the River Front Parkway in South Jordan. Four friends & I, each ran a little over 5.2 miles to complete the full 26.2! It was a lot of fun, but cold, extremely entertaining & well worth getting up at 5:30am to mingle, laugh & sweat with these women.
The orange shirt for participating.

Happy my leg of the race was over!

We beat our goal of FOUR hours just under a minute and a half!

Labor Day weekend Recap!

We did no "Laboring" all weekend long... we hit up Swiss Days in Midway, a birthday party at the pool, walks around the neighborhood, watched college football on TV, enjoyed classic 80's movies when the kids went to bed, carousel rides at the mall, breakfast at IHOP & ice cream sundaes while visiting-playing with the MacFarlane cousins! Wish we had these "no Laboring" weekends more often.

We woke up Monday morning with snow on the mountains!

" ALMOST" There!

Kate & I have persevered at getting Chandler to walk all by himself every day this week. He has been "almost" there for a while now, but always chickens out at steps two or three. With Kate yelling, "ALMOST" with his every step, our persistence and encouragement payed off today! Big Bruiser successfully walked from Point A, the couch, to Point B, Big Sister! Way to go Chan, we knew you could do it!
Starting at Point A... the couch!
